Some questions cannot be answered from published sources. What a supplier is really charging, why a category stopped growing, how a regulator behaves in practice — this is knowledge held by people who have done the work, and it moves faster than anything that gets written down.
We find those people, verify that they are who they say they are, and put you in the room with them.
Every expert works with us as an independent contractor under a published set of terms. Before any assignment they confirm their current position, declare conflicts of interest and undertake not to disclose confidential information belonging to a current or former employer, and not to discuss material non-public information about any listed company. We would rather lose an interview than receive an answer we cannot use.
The output is written. A call you attend is useful on the day; notes you can put in front of a colleague six weeks later are what the assignment is actually for.
What you receive
- Written notes from each interview, structured against the questions in your brief
- A shortlist of screened experts with their relevant background and the reason each was selected
- A summary memorandum drawing the interviews together, where the assignment covers more than three calls
- Recordings and transcripts, where every participant has consented in writing
Engagement and fees
- Per expert hour, quoted before each call and varying with seniority and market
- Fixed fee per assignment, where the number of interviews is agreed in advance
- Monthly retainer with an agreed allowance of interview hours
How we work
Brief
You describe the decision the research supports and the questions behind it. We convert that into a screening specification — the roles, markets and years of experience an expert must have to be useful to you.
Identification and screening
We identify candidates and screen each one against the specification. Every expert confirms their current position, declares any conflict of interest and accepts our Service Provider Terms before being put forward.
Selection
You receive the shortlist with the reasoning behind each name and choose whom to speak with. Experts you decline are never charged for.
Interviews
Calls run for sixty minutes by default, with an interviewer from our side present to keep the conversation on the brief and to enforce the limits on confidential information.
Delivery
Notes reach you within one working day of each call. Where the assignment warrants it, we close with a memorandum that sets the interviews side by side.
